Asst. Director’s Message

Asst. Director’s Message:

The St. Xavier’s High School aims at the integral personal formation of its students. By integral what is meant is that, a holistic approach is made towards building up the personality of every student in all possible dimensions: academic, physical, emotional and spiritual.

One of our aims is excellence in education. This excellence is measured not by the quality of the most brilliant students that a school produces, but by the level to which every student reaches his/her own full potential. In other words the distance each and every student travels from start to finish is the most important.

And what we seek to develop, is not just intellectual giants, but students who can be critical and creative in their approach to the world and their surroundings. Besides, we want to our students not only to develop their minds but also to develop their hearts, their feelings and their emotions, so that they end up being human beings who are not indifferent to the plight of the poorer sections and under-privileged people and who can be compassionate to these less fortunate people, starting with their own immediate surroundings.

We look forward to develop students’ integrity and honesty. We try to motivate them to commit themselves to worthy causes in a spirit of service. Collaboration and team spirit which are so important in our world today, in order to build up unity and harmony, which seems to be lacking in today’s world of selfishness, are important facets of the human personality that we seek to nurture.

Finally we strive to motivate our students to imbibe the values of freedom, equality, justice and peace, values enshrined in our Indian Constitution. We therefore want our students to develop a deep respect for themselves as well as for others. If our ex-students have learned to react to unjust situations and to take concrete steps to build a better environment and world, then we can safely say that our education has been successful.
